Activating Cloud Connector in Excel

Prerequisites: 
  1. Excel document inserted into Smart Engagement
  2. User assigned Cloud Connector license
Open the excel document in the engagement

Select Open in Office. The file will open in Excel.


Selecting download instead will download a copy of the file that will not be linked to the engagement.

In Excel, select:

  1. Insert tab

  2. Get Add-ins


In the Office Add-ins window that appears:

  1. Use the search function with code: WA200002239

  2. Select Add next to Caseware Cloud Connector  


Select Continue to accept the license terms and privacy policy


A Datalink icon will be added to top right of the Excel Home tab 


Select the Datalink icon, a cloud login screen will appear

Enter Cloud login credentials

A Trial Balance and Properties tab will appear in the side window
