Caseware Cloud Apps - Platform Updates
General Enhancements
- Access entities from Engagement Properties - select the Entity name from the engagement properties and jump to the entity details in Cloud.
- Tooltips - Tooltips have been added to carry forward and review tools to help you understand the icons throughout the application.
- Search for TB groups in the data link dialog - When you access the trial balance through the ‘FX’ function, you can now search the trial balance and easily apply the options quickly.
- TB import - You can now import the trial balance from any Excel or CSV file from the Documents screen, without downloading it to your computer.
Query enhancements
Job titles for contacts - When assigning a query to a specific contact, you can now view their job titles, to ensure you choose the right contact to send the query to.
Financial Statements enhancements
Note references in table total rows - You can now add note number references to the total rows in the dynamic tables. This feature will help you with the cash flow statement note number reference requirement.
New options for table borders - overlines and double underlines can now be added to rows within dynamic tables.
PDF/A download option - download financial statements in PDF/A format, which will ensuring formatting is preserved, regardless of the operating system or application.
Currency symbols in tables - there is now a global setting that controls the display of the currency symbol in dynamic tables. In the table headers, you can show the currency as the symbol ($) or code (AUD).
Keep together areas - there is now an option to keep together text areas, to ensure that an entire paragraph will be automatically pushed to the next page if it does not fit on a page.
Merge table headers - You are now able to merge table headers within tables.
Percentage variance decimal values - You can now add decimal points in the percent variance column in tables.
Firm Settings enhancements
If you customise a cloud app using Firm Settings, here are some additional enhancements to be aware of:
Add mapping numbers - You can add additional mapping numbers to the mapping structure and sort them to the appropriate locations, making it easier to break down the mapping into more detail.
Checklist visibility conditions - You can add visibility conditions to the checklist responses. This will allow you to build a comprehensive checklist and present the response based on certain conditions.
