When your linked worksheet within CaseWare defers to #NAME, it is an indication of a problem with CaseWare Connector.
1. Open Excel. Look for the 'Add-Ins' tab in the top ribbon.
- If the Add-Ins tab is there, then proceed to Step 2.
- If the Add-Ins tab is not there, you must reinstall Connector on your computer.
2. Within Excel, go to 'File' and then 'Options'.
3. In the dialog box that opens, proceed to the 'Add-Ins' screen.
4. From here, browse amongst Inactive Application Add-Ins and Disabled Application Add-Ins to identify whether your necessary Connector Add Ins are inactive or disabled. Below are the three Add-Ins you must have active for proper use of CaseWare Connector.
5. To enable any or all of these Add-Ins if found disabled or inactive, go to to the 'Manage' dropdown and search for the relevant Add-In type to generate a list.
6. Tick the required Add-Ins and press OK.
This should render CaseWare Connector Add-Ins active and fix the #NAME error.
