CaseWare IDEA version 10 Passport registration

To access all the great resources on CaseWare Passport, you must be a registered user. You can register for CaseWare Passport directly from IDEA. Registration consists of creating a password for your Passport account. Your IDEA install key and a valid email address are required. Once registered, you can access CaseWare Passport from IDEA or from the CaseWare Analytics Support Portal.

To register:

1.    Do one of the following to access the CaseWare Passport login window from within IDEA:

·         On the Ribbon toolbar, click the Passport button (top-right corner).

·         On your keyboard, press CTRL+F2.

·         On the Home tab, in the CaseWare group, click Passport.

·         On the File tab, click Passport.

 

The CaseWare Passport login window appears.

 

2.    In the Email field, enter the email address you want to use for your Passport account.

 

This email address will be used as your Passport account username. You will also use this email address to log into the CaseWare Analytics Support Portal.

In most cases, the IDEA install key is automatically populated in the Install Key field. However, if for example, you used the mass dongle upgrade, you need to manually enter the install key.

 

To access your install key information, on the File tab, click Help. The install key information can be found under the About IDEA section.

 

3.    If required, in the Install Key field, enter your IDEA install key.

 

4.    Click Login.

 

The Register For Passport window appears. The Email and Install Key fields are automatically populated with the information you provided.

 

5.    Enter your first and last names in the required fields.

 

6.    Click Create Account.

 

You will receive a confirmation email to the email address you used to register for Passport. 

7.    Open the confirmation email and click the Click Here link to create a password for your Passport account.

The Resend Password window appears. The email field is automatically populated with your username (the email address you used to register for Passport).

 

8.    In the New Password field, enter the password to be associated with your account.

 

9.    In the Repeat New Password field, enter the password again.

 

10.  Click CHANGE PASSWORD.

 

11.  Click the login link that appears.

 

12.  Accept the terms and conditions and click CONTINUE.

 

13.  Login in with your support email address and password.

 

You are now registered to use CaseWare Passport.
