How do I Edit a Dynamic Table?

To edit a dynamic table, follow these steps:


  1. To the right of the table, click the More Actions button and select Edit Dynamic Table.


Rows

  1. To insert a new row, click the button and select the row type to insert. Note: If a trial balance row is inserted, filter by map number name or number.


  1. To delete a row, click the checkbox next to the row to be deleted and select the delete button.

  1. To sort a row, click the vertical sort button, hold and drag up or down to the required sort position.   

  1. To change the default row display, (mapped rows only visible if balance <> 0, input rows only print if balance <> 0), click the checkbox next to the row, select the visibility button, and make the preferred selection.  

  1. To display the opposite sign for balances in a row, click the checkbox next to the row and select the opposite display button.

  1. To subtract a line item from the total, click the checkbox next to the row and select the subtract button.

Subtotals

  1. To add a subtotal to a table, click the checkbox next to the rows to subtotal and click the Group selected rows button.

  1. Edit the default ‘Title’ and ‘Total’ descriptions. Click the Collapse button to the right of the ‘Title’ row if the subtotal only needs to be displayed as a single line item.

Columns

  1. To insert a new column, click the button in the position where the column is required.

  1. From the type dropdown, select the column type to insert.

  1. To delete a column, select the column description and select the delete button.

  1. To sort a column, select the column description, then hold and drag left or right to the required sort position.

  1. To change the default column display, select the column description, select the visibility button, and make the preferred selection.

  1. To display the opposite sign for balances in a column, select the column description and click the Display opposite sign for balances checkbox.

  1. If a specific column in a table does not require a total to be displayed, select the column description and click the Exclude from totals checkbox.

  1. To display zero balances in a column, select the column description and click the Display zero balances checkbox.

  1. To customise a column heading description, select the column description, click the Heading input field, enter the text in the output field, and click Save.

  1. To insert a note reference column, select Note reference as the column type. ‘Note’ will be assigned as the default column description.

  1. Click on # to display the note number dialog, then click the checkbox next to the note number in the dialog to assign the note number reference to the preferred row.

  1. Click the Save or Save & Close button in the top right hand corner to save all custom table changes.
