How do I use the Risks, Controls, and Reportable Items in my audit engagement file?

What are Risks in CaseWare Audit System?
As part of the audit process, risks must be identified for your client engagements and you must design your audit around these risks.
Follow the steps below to record a risk:

  1. Click  button to create a new risk.
  2. Enter the details in the risk dialog and click OK



  3. All risks that been recorded in the engagement can be viewed, edited or deleted via the RRPT: Risk Report
What are Controls in CaseWare Audit System?
As part of the audit process, you are expected to identify and access client controls.
Follow the steps below to record a control:

  1.  Click  button to create a new control.
  2. Enter the details in the control dialog and click OK.



  3. All controls that have been recorded in the engagement can be viewed, edited or deleted via the CRPT: Control Report

What are Reportable items in CaseWare Audit System?
If you are required to report an item to those charged with governance or management, you can use the Reportable Items feature in Audit System.                                                       
Follow the steps below to record a reportable item:
  1. Click   button to create a new reportable item.
  2. Enter the details in the reportable item dialog and click OK



  3. All reportable items that have been recorded in the engagement can be viewed, edited or deleted via the MRPT: Management Letter Report
  4. All reportable items can be imported into the management letters.
