How to add a Hyperlink Annotation reference to a Bookmark/Cell/Page in Word/Excel/PDF

CaseWare Hyperlink Annotations allow users to reference Bookmarks within a Word document and Cells within an Excel spreadsheet and Page number in PDF document.

Note: Word / Excel documents must be included within the document manager for this to work.

Follow the steps below to create a hyperlink to an excel cell:

1. Create a Hyperlink annotation (see FAQ 357: How to add a hyperlink annotation reference?)

 2. Enter a Label (This is what the user will see on the automatic document).

3. Select the appropriate Link Type (e.g. Excel Workbook).

4. Select the document

5.Select the appropriate Worksheet and Cell number.

6. Click OK. The hyperlink is now created.

Follow the steps below to achieve a hyperlink to a word bookmark:

1. Create a Hyperlink annotation.

2. Enter a Label.

3. Select the appropriate Link Type (e.g. Word Document).

4. Select the document

5. Select the appropriate Bookmark.

Note: Bookmarks must be already included within the word document.
6.Click OK. The hyperlink is now created.

Follow the steps below to achieve a hyperlink to a PDF page number:

1. Create a Hyperlink annotation.

2. Enter a Label.

3. Select the appropriate Link Type (e.g. PDF/Image Document).

4. Select the document.

5. Select the appropriate Page Number.

6. Click OK. The hyperlink is now created.
