How to Add and Remove Subtotals

Step 1: Click on any row within the table.

Step 2: From the ribbon, select Home tab| in Tables Area | Subtotal > Add to display the dialog. It is also available from Table Tools tab | Subtotal > Add.



Step 3: Tick the checkboxes next to the rows that are to be subtotal.



Step 4: Click the OK button.

A new subtotal row will be inserted immediately after the last row ticked within the Select dialogue. 
Subtotals must form a continuous group. If you wish to subtotal non-consecutive rows in a table, you must first sort those lines to be in consecutive rows.
Alternatively, if you select the first and last row of a number of rows, CaseWare Working Papers will give you the option to include all rows in between the two selected rows.

Procedure - Delete a Subtotal:
There are multiple ways to delete a subtotal. 
Step 1: Click on any row within the table.

Step 2: From the ribbon, select Home tab| in Table Area | Subtotal > Delete to display the dialog.

Step 3: It is also available from Table Tools tab | Subtotal > Delete and from the Right Click menu.



Step 4: You can also delete a subtotal by right clicking the subtotal cell. 



Step 5: Tick the checkboxes next to the subtotals that are to be deleted. 



Step 6: Click the OK button.
Note: Only those subtotals that have been inserted using Subtotal | Add function can be removed using this option, and not those that are part of the table design.
