How to create new mapping numbers in Cloud Financials?

To create new mapping numbers in Cloud Financials, complete the following steps:
Note: The new Mapping Number has to be unique to the rest of the mapping numbers in the mapping structure. We recommend using the mapping number sequence of the group mapping number and then 900. For instance, to create a new mapping number under 8.100 Administrative Expenses, we can use the mapping number convention 8.100.900 to continue the sequence from the last mapping under of 8.100.800 under Administrative Expenses.

1. Navigate to the Data tab and select FSA from the options on the left.

2. Click on the  icon and select Add Group

3. In this example, we are creating a new mapping number under the mapping group 8.100 Administrative Expenses

4. In the Add Group window, add the new mapping number in the Mapping number field.  In this example, we are using the mapping number 8.100.900.

5. Next, we need to add in the Name of the Mapping Number in the Name field. Then select the Parent Group that the new mapping number belongs to in the Parent Group field. In this example the new mapping number is going to be included in the mapping group of 8.100 Administrative Expenses.

6. Select Save to save the new mapping number to the mapping structure,

7. In the Assign Accounts screen, we can now see the new mapping number 8.100.900 Additional Promotional Expenses under 8.100 Administrative Expenses

8. Accounts can now be mapped to the new mapping number.

9. The new mapping number with the mapped balance will display in the Financial statements under Administrative Expenses.

Note:  When creating a top level income statement mapping number (for example mapping 6.900, 7.900 etc), the new mapping numbers will not be linked to the Income statements automatically. A new row will have to be created for the income statements and detailed profit and loss statements and can be linked to the new mapping number.
