Scenario

1) When I try to use IDEA the application window appears frozen. How can I resolve this?

2) Unable to see equation editor dialogue box.

Very common question which is reported in the Knowledge base within Passport. Most common for those who use dual monitors.

Solution

• Open IDEA in a span desktop configuration and drag the open the dialog box from monitor 2 to monitor 1.

Or

• Click in the IDEA application window.

• Press ALT + Spacebar.

• Select Move or press Shift + M to toggle the Move function.

• Drag the cursor along the window to drag the dialog back OR use the right and left keyboard arrows to move the open dialog box to an active monitor.
