Retrieving Corrupt CaseView Documents
Please use these
instructions with the help of an IT administrator to prevent data loss
In the client
file folder, each saved CaseView document will have generated a backup
file that can be used in these circumstances.
1. In the Working
Papers Document Manager, right-click the CaseView document,
select Properties and note the
Identifier.
2. In the Client File Folder, sort
by filename.
3. The CaseView document and its
backup will be called .cvw and .bak respectively.
4. Rename the .cvw, which is the current copy, to
some other extension such as .old.
5. Rename the .bak to .cvw and launch the document
as normal from the Document Manager.
