Preface
The article below will demonstrate how to create a manual engagement within an SMSF entity.
If you would like to leverage SMSF Audit efficiencies such as:
- Integration with Class/BGL360/SuperMate
- Automapping of imported accounts
- Direct imports of fund documents

How to create a manual engagement
Navigate to a SMSF Entity
Ensure you are in a SMSF entity in order to create your Audit engagement. This can be accessed by going through the Entities section.
The coloured icon which signifies a SMSF entity is shown below and will show Type: SMSF Fund Entities.
Creating an Engagement File
Scroll down to the Engagements section of the page and click New > SMSF Audit.
Specify Engagement Properties
Fill in the required areas marked with *
The year you select in the engagement properties will determine the content in the audit checklists (relevant to the selected year).
The year you select will also determine the current year and prior year columns in your Data (Trial Balance) page.
