Using the new SuperMate import - For New Funds

Using the new SuperMate import - For New Funds

For funds administered in SuperMate, SMSF Audit engagement files can now be created in bulk (previously, each fund engagement file had to be created individually, and then the data from SuperMate was imported).

Importing funds using this option will result in the following:

  • Creation of a new SMSF Fund entity on Cloud that is automatically associated with the relevant SMSF Accounting Entity

  • Automatic population of key SMSF Fund Entity information in both Cloud and all related engagement files

  • Creation of SMSF Audit engagement file

To import SuperMate-based funds in bulk, complete the following:

  1. Go to the relevant SMSF Accounting Entity on CaseWare Cloud (i.e. the firm for which you are completing the audits for), click the three dots to open up the import menu and select SMSF - superMate Import.

  2. Login to SuperMate.
  3. Select the relevant year for which the engagement files will be created from the Engagement Type picklist, then click Retrieve Funds.
  4. Deselect all in the New Funds list (and in the Existing Entities list, if relevant) using the top-line tickbox.
  5. Find the funds you would like to import. In this example we will be importing Ronaldo and Messi Superannuation Fund.

TIP: use the ‘Search Funds’ field to quickly locate funds.
  6. Click Import Funds. The import will commence, displaying a progress bar and then complete.

  7. Click Exit. There will now be a new SMSF Fund Entity in Cloud for all included in the import, and each will have an SMSF Audit engagement file in the Engagements section
