What data is required for me to setup a Half-Year engagement?

Setting up a half-year CaseWare engagement file is the most crucial phase to ensure correct presentation of data. 
In order to start using CaseWare to report half-yearly data, it is imperative that you contain the following information as a minimum prerequisite: 
Current Year 
  • Half-yearly data for the First Half. 
Prior Year
  • Half-yearly data from the First Half; 
  • Half-yearly data from the Second Half. 
This will enable you to compare the First half of the current year to the preceding period / Equivalent period to prior year in Automatic Documents and Financial reports. 
Note: The data is presented differently pending on whether you are disclosing a Balance Sheet or Income Statement item. A balance sheet component will typically be presented to the preceding period. Whereas the Income Statement component will be presented to the equivalent period to the prior year.
