Recovering a back-up CaseWare file?

Recovering a back-up CaseWare file?

As mentioned in a previous article, it is possible to manually create a back up of your CaseWare file.

If you have used the back-up feature of CaseWare – from CaseWare ribbon select File | Back Up

The following shows how to recover from a back up if something goes wrong with a CaseWare file:

1. In Windows Explorer, search for the back-up file.  The location of this file was specified when the back up was created.

2. Move the entire folder – Back Up of {File Name} – into the same location as the original file.

3. Delete the original file.

4. Re-name the folder of the back up to remove the words "Backup of" and the date stamp.
