March 2023
Caseware's Smart Engagement technology power's our Cloud Apps such as Agile Audit, SMSF Audit and Cloud Financials.
We are excited to confirm today's release of an update to Smart Engagement which includes the following:
A new Control Report is now available in Agile Audit, which displays all information added through the New Control dialog, and has a similar look and feel the existing Risk Report.
In dynamic tables within Cloud Financials, you are now able to skip the table header. This allows you to hide the header in multiple tables that share the same table header, for example in the Property, Plant and Equipment or Financial Risk Management notes. Refer to the following FAQ for more information: How do I hide dynamic table column headings?
A consolidated engagement can now be created within a single engagement file, without the need to link to other engagement files. For more information please refer to Create a consolidation engagement documentation. To support this release, the number of accounts that can be supported within an engagement file has increased to 30,000 accounts (e.g. you could have 30 entities with 1,000 accounts each).
New blank Microsoft Word and Excel documents can now be created within the Document Manager, and automatically saved into the file.
A new section area has been added to Cloud Financials that allows you to embed PDF documents into the financial statements (e.g. a signed Audit Report). Cloud Financials will scale the PDF document as required, into the PDF export of the financial statements. Please refer to How can I embed a PDF document into the Cloud Financials for information on how to use this new feature.
The performance of the PDF print preview feature and the PDF download have both been improved.
Dimensions are used in Cloud Financials to record the breakdown of balances in the Property, Plant and Equipment, Intangible Assets, Rights of Use Assets, Provisions and Deferred Tax Assets and Liabilities notes.
With this release, you are now able to update the dimensions descriptions used in the Financial Statements, as well as create your own dimensions within the financial statements. Additional functionality updates have also been added into the dynamic tables and FX function used in the Financial Statements.
The following FAQ explains this enhancement further: How do I modify dimension descriptions?
